Paul Ahern

Paul Ahern began his real estate career working at Location Matters as the company’s first hire after inception. While specializing in sales and leasing of restaurant/hospitality related real estate and businesses, Paul quickly became one of the main driving forces behind the company’s success with his expertise in real estate, leasing, business sale transactions, alcohol licensing, and intimate understanding of various dining and nightlife markets.

Throughout his career in commercial real estate, Paul has been involved in retail and restaurant related sales and leasing transactions valued at over $60,000,000 on behalf of Landlords and Tenants. Described as an edgy, enthusiastic player who is always willing to go above and beyond; Paul attributes his accomplishments and success to his passion for helping others, competitive nature, strong client orientation, and dedication to always maintaining the highest level of integrity in both business and personal affairs.

Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Paul graduated from San Diego State University while earning a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, with an emphasis in Advertising and an Allied Discipline in Marketing. He currently lives in Del Mar with his wife, and outside of work enjoys spending his time out in the water surfing, cycling, stand-up paddle boarding, playing tennis, and drinking obscene amounts of coffee.

Nate Benedetto

Nate Benedetto began his career with Strom Commercial in 2005 before starting Next Wave Commercial. Nate has a personal relationship with most of the retailers and restaurateurs in the downtown, uptown and coastal communities. These relationships allow Nate to more effectively match properties with tenants and buyers to maximize value and close more deals.

With over 275 lease and sale transactions completed to date, he has extensive experience representing tenants, landlords, buyers, and sellers. His trend analysis and knowledge of the urban and coastal neighborhoods allow him to outperform the competition and keep his clients looking one step ahead. He is also the founder of URBANIST (www.urbanistguide.com), which is a fold-out guide to locally owned restaurants, bars, and boutiques within San Diego's downtown & uptown neighborhoods.

Originally from Chicago, Nate received his Bachelor of Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing from Indiana University. Outside of work Nate likes to surf, snowboard and spend time on the beach and in the mountains with his wife and kids.

Cam Lacey began his real estate career working with Canter Companies prior to Next Wave Commercial. Joining Next Wave Commercial Cam will continue to specialize in Tenant Rep/Site Selection throughout San Diego County and leasing/sales advisory in the La Jolla Coastal Community.
